After three weeks of blowouts, The last Saturday of the regular season finally brought some competition. Both of these games were repeats of week 1, and things have changed a little, but the same teams that won in week one, won in week 4.

Blue vs. Black
This was a close came 3 weeks ago, and it really mirrored that game quite a bit. Just like the last meeting, the Blue team bounced out to a 14-0 lead. They've been good at beginnings of games so far, but have not been able to sustain leads. They gave up 28 straight points to the Black team for the second time, primarily based on 4 turnovers.

They rebounded more this time, scoring to cut the lead to 7 with a minute to play. But time was not on our side, and it eventually ran out. The final went to Black, 28-21.

MVP: Matt (Black): 3 PASS TDs, 1 RUSH TD

Gray vs. Green
They Gray team had not been tested all season, winning their first three games by an average of 31 points per game. They won the first meeting by almost 50. This game was different.

The two teams went back and forth for most of the game. Green had a two TD lead at one point, but gave up a score at the very end of the half, then couldn't stop Gray the first possession of the second half, and it was tied. The two teams would trade TDs until overtime.

Then a second overtime.

Finally in the third overtime the Gray team was able to stop a 2 point conversion attempt, and convert on their own to pull out a great win, 50-48.

Week Three: Gray still Rolling, Green looking strong

Green vs. Blue
The Blue team came in still looking for their first win, while Green wanted to start a win streak. This one, though, was never close. Green got a great start again and never looked back. Turnovers were the story for the Blue team, who threw 5 INTs (one of which went back for a TD) and lost a fumble (that also went back for a TD). Losing 6 possessions in a short game is pretty impossible to overcome.

In the meantime, the Green team's offense continued it's newfound efficiency with Rob Zeltwanger under center. He went for 4 TDs (Scott Cochran grabbed two). Zeltwanger also ran one in. Include the two defensive scores and that was all she wrote, as Green rolled 49-14.

Black vs. Gray
Nobody has been able to stop the Gray team yet, and that didn't change Saturday. The Black team was scoreless after the first half. They started the second half with a pick 6 by Eric Burns, but Gray really never let it get any closer.

David Crawshaw continued his great play at QB with six TD passes. He also ran one in. The Black team struggled to hang onto the ball as well, as they threw 5 INTs as well, Hoy Garvin with two.

In the end the Black team showed some resolve in the second half, but it wasn't enough. Gray stays undefeated after a 49-28 win.

Week Two Results: Redemption for Green, Gray continues to roll

Green vs. Black

After a rough first week the Green team had some regrouping to do. The champions two years ago are not accustomed to losing as badly as they did, so the Black team had a bit of a sleeping giant to deal with.

The Green team rode the back of QB Rob Zeltwanger, who had a hand in all 9 touchdowns. They built a lead, and never looked back. 3 of Zeltwangers 5 passing TDs went to Scott Cochran, who showed some great vision around the goal line. Kurt Novotny returned and his speed brought him the other 2 scores.

Despite a better second half effort, the Black team had no answer on either side of the ball. The Green team went home with a 63-28 victory.

MVP: Rob Zeltwanger (Green): 5 PASS TDs, 2 RUSH TDs, 2 INTs (2 TDs)

Blue vs. Gray

The Blue team came into this one trying to avenge a loss where they had a 14 point lead in the second half. The Gray team on the other hand were coming in coming off a dominating win. 

Similar to the first game, this one was never very close. David Crawshaw continued his stellar play behind center, with 4 more passing TDs to go along with 2 more on the ground. Michael Bender hauled in 3 of those TDs, giving him 5 after 2 games. 

The Gray team looks to be ahead of the other 3 teams for the time being, as they cruise to another win 49-21.

Week One Results: Black wins in a comeback, Gray wins BIG

Game 1: Blue vs. Black
It was a slow start to the opening game of the season. The teams traded defensive stops and INTs to open the game. It wasn't until late in the half when the Blue team finally broke the ice with a score. They went into the half with a 7-0 lead.

Then the scoring started. The Blue team came right out with another score. The Black team finally answered, though, making it 14-7. The first play on the Blue team's next possession was a INT from Mark Davis that went back for a score, locking the game at 14.

Black never looked back from there. They scored 2 more times, and walked away with a 28-14, come from behind win.

MVP: Mark Davis (Black): 3 PASS TDs, 2 DEF INTs (1 TD)

Game 2: Gray vs. Green
The second game wasn't close. Ever. The gray team opened up with an INT, and promptly scored. Then got another INT, and scored again. And so it went for a while. At halftime it was 28-7, and it never got any better.

With only a single possession that the Gray team didn't score, and with 5 INTs, they cruised to a 56-14 victory. Maybe the large point spread of any game in the league's history.
