GAME 2: Green vs. Blue
Final Score: Green 63, Blue 42
MVP: Scott Cochran: 1 RUSH TD, 5 SACKs

WEEK TWO: Results and Summary
So, obviously, I'm way behind on this, so I'll apologize in advance if this post isn't quite as in depth or accurate as last weeks. My bad.
GAME 1: BLACK VS. GREEN
Both teams came in 1-0, and neither were tested too much in the first week, so this was bound to be a good game. It didn't disappoint, as neither team ever led by more than a touchdown. The highlight of the first half came from Ben Wehner, who deflected a pass, intercepted it, and ran it in for the touchdown. That play gave the Green team the lead headed into the half, 21-14.
The Black team came out strong though and tied the game on their first possession of the second half. They rode that momentum the rest of the half, mainly on the back of Kyle Roe, who finished the game with two TDs catches and two INTs. The Green team had a chance to tie the game in the closing seconds, as they had 1st and goal, but a Kyle Roe INT in the end zone on third down ended the game.
FINAL SCORE: Black 35, Green 28
MVP: Kyle Roe: 2 Rec TDs, 2 INTs
GAME 2: BLUE VS. RED
Both the Blue and Red team came into the second week looking for improvements from Week 1. Similar to Week 1 for the Blue team, the game was close going into the end of the first half, but apparent fatigue laid in and Red team scored going into half. The second half started to look like a blowout, as the Red team opened up a 42 to 21 lead (I think).
The Blue team then went crazy, scoring two straight TDs and cutting it to a one possession game. Unfortunately, the Blue team was out of time outs with under 2 minutes to go, so the Red team could simply kneel on the ball. Instead, Nels Olsen ran with it, probably gained 20 yards or so, and then fumbled. After peeling off the pile though, the Red team had recovered, and then kneeled for the win.
FINAL SCORE: Red 42, Blue 35
MVP: Damien Kendall: A couple Passing TDs and one circus TD reception.

WEEK ONE: Results and Summary
It was an interesting first week for the 2010 Fishers Flag Football League. No one felt week one jitters like the Quarterbacks and Wide Recievers, though. Quarterbacks collectively threw for 10 touchdowns, versus 12 interceptions. And without Josh Chapman of the Black team, those stats would be 3 teams throwing for 5 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Incredibly, however, there was no shortage in scoring in the first week, as the Green team (which return many players from last year's championship team) took out the red team 35-14. Then in the second game the Black team's size and blocking ability was too much, as they routed the Blue team 49-20. Complete game summaries can be seen below.

The Red team came out firing on their first possession, and completed a great first drive with Kenne Crocker catching the first touchdown of the season. They would not score again in the first half however, as the Green team rallied back and closed the half at 21-7. The three touchdowns came from two interception returns for touchdowns from Kurt Novotny and Daniel Bucher, and a wonderful run after the catch touchdown from Kurt Novotny, who looks to be the fastest player in the league yet again.
The Red team was never really able to make close in the second half. Kenne Crocker caught his second touchdown to cut it 28-14, but they could never get any closer. The pass rush of Ben Wehner, Scott Cochran, and Adam Snively was simply too much, and led to 5 interceptions, 3 of which were from Nathan Elliott, and the other two already mentioned that went back for touchdowns. The stat sheet won't show it, but the pass rush and hurries are what really helped the green team here.

This game included the craziest final 2 minutes of any first half of football I've ever witnessed. Going into the 2 minute warning, the game was close at 7-0. But somehow the half time score was 28-7. A couple passing TDs from Josh Chapman, and long rushing TD from Mike Newsom, and an INT return TD from Dan Hagan really all happened before anyone could catch their breath. Unfortunately, the game never really got too much closer after it.
The size and strength of the Black team was really too much for the Blue team to handle throughout the game. The Black team piled on 5 sacks, 4 INTs, and 1 forced fumble. The game looked like it was going to be a close one late in the first half, but the shenanigans in the final 2 minutes was simply too much for the Blue team to come back from.
FINAL SCORE: Black 49, Blue 20
MVP: Josh Chapman: 5 Passing TDs
